There's something different about standing behind the camera at an Orthodox wedding. The Rings

Early in the ceremony, the priest exchanges the rings between the couple, passing them back and forth a few times before they're finally placed, symbolizing the joining of two lives into one. It's quiet, it's intimate, and it's one of the first moments where you can feel the weight of what's happening.

The Crowning

Okay, this part always gets me. Even before I lift my camera, honestly. Crowns go on their heads, and just like that, they're king and queen of their own home. I lean into a more editorial style here, a bit more composed, a bit more intentional, because the moment kind of asks for it. It looks stunning in photos, but standing there watching it happen live? That hits different every time.

Walking Around the Altar

The priest leads them around the altar, three times. Their first steps as a married couple. This is where the documentary side of what I do really shows up, real, unplanned, nothing repeated just for a photo.
