Traditional Canadian Wedding Photography in Montreal & Quebec

I've shot a lot of traditional Canadian weddings over the years, and honestly, they all have this same rhythm to them. If you know where to look, there are so many little moments most people miss. As a Montreal wedding photographer and videographer, that's kind of my whole job. (catching the stuff you'd otherwise never see again.)

Getting Ready:

Mornings before a wedding are usually calm. Everyone's a little nervous, a little excited, and nothing's really happening yet, that's honestly one of my favorite part. I just show up, stay quiet, and shoot what's actually happening in the room. No posing, no direction. That's the documentary side of what I do.

The Ceremony:

Church, backyard, venue outdoors , doesn't matter, this is the heart of the day. Vows, the first kiss, the mom crying in the third row. I try to stay out of the way here, but I'm still watching for the shots that matter: the walk down the aisle, the ring exchange, that first look right before everything starts.

Couple shoot and Cocktail Hour & Reception:

This is usually when we step away for a bit, just the two of you, for some editorial-style portraits in a quiet, private space, a bit more intentional, a break from the crowd before everything picks back up. Then it's back to the reception: speeches, first dance, cake cutting, people actually laughing instead of posing. That's when I go back to shooting candidly, catching everything as it happens.

Whether it's downtown, the Laurentians, or out in the Eastern Townships, I bring the same approach everywhere — stay quiet, stay ready, and just capture the day as it actually happened.
